Certified Tutor

I am an alumna of Howard University in Washington, D.C. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I am working toward pursuing a Doctor of Medicine. I am passionate about helping students, as I want to return the favor of investing in the education of others. There were generous people who did such for me. This is not a race that should be ran alone, you need a support system. Before graduating college, I tutored youth ages 5-13 in various subjects. After graduating, I gained more experience working as a 10th grade Biology teacher. I tutor a variety of subjects including reading, writing, math, social studies and science. My favorite subjects to tutor are reading and life sciences, as they are most intriguing to me. I believe that "excellence is the standard" and "to whom much is given, much is required." Success is not just achieved by dreaming, but work has to be put forth. I like to know how my students learn best, so that I am better able to meet their educational needs. I have observed that it can be beneficial to implement various activities that provide students with different ways to learn. In my free time, I enjoy exploring nature, spending time with friends and family, and listening to music.
