Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Lee University with a bachelor's in biochemistry and minor in psychology and completed medical student at East Tennessee State University for my medical degree. I am now a pediatric resident physician at Erlanger Children's. I have been tutoring for several years from kindergarten to college. I tutor in multiple subjects, but I have a passion for science, math, and test prep. I also love helping students with their college applications.
When teaching, I like to make sure students are engaged by asking frequent questions. This helps me make sure that students are following along. After teaching, I like to have students teach back to me and talk me through a problem. This helps me understand areas where they may be confused.
I want to be a pediatrician. I have always loved working with kids and I think that it is important to teach parents and kids alike. I think this is where my passion for education stems from. I believe that it is so important to educate students in their school subjects, but also in life.
In my free time, I love to be outdoors, spend time with my family and friends, and play with my dogs!
