I am a Reading and Writing teacher that is passionate about teaching young minds. The world becomes more joyful (and easier :-) when you are a strong reader and writer.

I have several years of experience as a Classroom English and History Teacher, Reading Specialist, and Reading and Writing Tutor.

I received my Bachelors of Art degree in History and Literature from the University of Texas.

I'm currently completing my Masters degree in Museum Studies with a speciality in educational programming and social cognitive theory (the art of learning in social settings) at Oklahoma University.

I tutor students in grades 4th through 12th in the areas of:
Reading Comprehension
Writing Composition

I always aim to make each tutoring session fun and empowering for young learners.

I take the approach of being a student's guide when we work together to help them meet their academic goals :-)
