Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of McPherson College where I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and ESOL. Since graduation, I have taught lower elementary for 8 years in Kansas and Missouri and have tutored children and teens in reading, grammar, math, and Algebra. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I most enjoy Math, Reading, and Geography. I believe in a "work hard" "play hard" approach - focusing on the task or idea at hand and when finished taking time to relax through playing a quick game, reading a short story, or having a light conversation. I am a firm believer in education and believe the key is developing life-long learners who love learning and have the tools they need to succeed. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing strategy games, basketball, judging poultry, and watching ScFi shows.
