I am a Junior at Virginia Tech. I'm majoring in Computational Modeling and Data Analytics, and minoring in Math; I have 2 years of experience teaching math to middle school and high school students in all subjects up to AP BC Calculus. Calculus is my favorite because of its wide application in multiple other subjects. My experience comes from tutoring at Coherence Learning, where I tutored math students in Geometry, Algebra, PreCalc, and Calculus. I also volunteered at INMED Partnership for ESL children, where I taught elementary and middle school students Math, Science, and English speaking skills. I'm fluent in Bengali and Spanish, and I've also played clarinet for 7 years and play currently in the Wind Ensemble at VT. I believe WHY the student doesn't understand the material is just as important as WHAT they don't understand; I will work to tailor lesson plans based on each individual student.
