I earned my bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees from West Virginia University. Through all of those programs, my focus has been on reading, writing, critical thinking, and literacy. I've taught all skill levels (developmental through doctoral students) as well as grades 6-12 in the K-12 sector. My excitement comes from watching students perform at their best, and I so enjoy helping them to achieve that goal. My most memorable efforts include students with differing abilities and helping them to find their own voice or pass a required state test for graduation. We each have a gift, and sometimes that gift gets stifled by assorted constraints. My skill is in uncovering that gift, then helping students to leverage that gift for their individual success.
