I am an Anthropology major with a strong background in Philosophy, working toward my Bachelor's at the University of Maryland, College Park. I have been tutoring English and essay writing for over 6 years, beginning on my own in the Maryland/DC area and later transitioning to the online format. I have worked with students of all ages and abilities, ranging from working parents returning to college to middle school students trying to establish a foundation for their writing. Essay writing is my main focus, as the process of helping people flesh out and understand their thoughts in a more tangible way is very rewarding to me, both intellectually and personally. My tutoring philosophy is to adapt myself to the student by getting a sense of their strengths and weaknesses, thinking style, and where they're coming from as a writer. I view learning as a dynamic and ongoing process and believe that anyone can write well if the right focus and effort are developed. In my free time, I enjoy studying Philosophy, writing, and going on long walks.
