Certified Tutor
My role as a tutor is to help you to help yourself and encourage you to learn. To this end I discover your weaknesses and strengths and help you to strengthen your weaknesses.
Learning subject matter requires logical thinking, and I am particularly could at it. Logic is an acquired skill that is learned and mastered over time. It takes practice, and I try my best to make this practice an enjoyable experience.
I like it when my students ask question. And, I like to teach students how to ask the right ones. For, posing the right questions is the key to solving problems whether they are in mathematics, economics, science, or a spoken or written language.
Because I have been teaching a long time, I know how to approach problems from a large variety of perspectives and am able to meet most everyone on his own ground.
I am fluent in several languages with formal training in economics, anthropology, statistics, and German language and literature. I am currently teaching a middle schooler how to read, write, and speak Japanese and coaching college undergrads in microeconomics finance, and statistics.
