I am a graduate of Brooklyn College of the City University of New York where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I obtained my MBA in Accounting and Finance from Pace University and am a licensed CPA in the state of New York. Since graduation, I have worked as CFO of a Credit Union, a Controller and Human Resource Director for a Speciality Finance Company and an Audit Supervisor with an emphasis on Broker Dealers. I taught finance and accounting for a number of years as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Financial Management in New York University's School of Professional Education and served on the Board of Directors of New York Communities Organizing Fund, (NYCOFI) a not for profit organization working to obtain affordable housing for lower income individuals. While I taught a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about teaching Accounting and Financial Statement Analysis to adults already in the workplace working to advance in their chosen professions. In my experience, these individuals are highly motivated, eager to learn and have always helped me to become a better instructor. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (especially science fiction), playing chess and backgammon and working out. I am a single parent with a 12 year old son who enriches my life. We enjoy baseball, basketball and going to the roller rink on weekends
