I am passionate about helping students, because I enjoy helping others, and I hate seeing others struggle. During my time in school I was often struggling, and I never had the opportunity to have others help me through those struggles. I enjoy making sure that people do not have to go through those same experiences as myself.
I have worked with students throughout high school and college. This includes friends, but also includes peers as well. In high school I tutored a part of the National Honor Society. Then in college I TAed my junior year, helping students with physics. I also tutored several students separately my senior year.
For my eduation, I received an Associates Degree from Montgomery College in 2021 (as a high school senior). I then received my Bachelor of Arts in 2023 from the University of Vermont. The specific degrees I have obtained are Associates in Gen ED: Stem, a BA in Physics, and a BA in History. I also plan on working toward a JD (Juris Doctorate) in the fall.
I tutor Physics, Calculus, Algebra, and SAT Math. However, my favorites to tutor are Physics and Calculus. Both of these subjects are essentially the same, but are also different. Regardless, both of these subjects help describe the world. It is so cool learning about them and the way they explain our everyday lives. Gravity? That can be explained by physics. Your computer? Physics.
Everyone has their own unique teaching style and mine is to take an approach that is catered to the student, so I like to ask the student what they feel they need the most assistance on. My goal is to help them on what they believe they are struggling on, but also to help them on what I believe they are struggling on.
Outside of academia I am most interested in sports! I love playing pickup basketball from time to time, and occasionally a game of football as well. I played football and baseball in high school, so whenever my school has an alumni game I show up!
