I am a newly certified English teacher who graduated from SUNY New Paltz. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Adolescence Education with a concentration in English. My strength as a teacher is definitely forming meaningful connections with my students. The more I get to know and understand my student's needs and interests, the easier it is to form lesson plans that are relevant and fit the needs of each person. I find so much joy in reading literature and helping students comprehend stories and poems in ways that are meaningful. Hobbies

Besides snuggling up with my cats and reading a good fiction novel, I enjoy playing video games in my free time. It's a way to step away from teaching and unwind with my peers. I'm also a musician and have experience playing the soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones. I also sing (but I often do it just to annoy my parents and sister). Involving English, I especially enjoy writing short stories and poetry.
