Certified Tutor

Hi I'm Anna and I've tutored Physics and Computing for >10 years.
These subjects have always been a passion of mine and I love teaching others, helping them to understand and appreciate different texts, books, and theories.

I know how daunting it can be to try and understand physics laws and their applications. Sometimes all it takes is someone to make it clear and simple with practical examples!

I gained my Diploma in Classical Studies in Italy before studying at the University of Catania and graduated in 2010 with a 2.1 BSc in Physics and in 2013 with a 1:1 MSc in Nuclear Applied Physics. I then did a PhD in Defence and Security at Cranfield University and won the prize for the best PhD Thesis. I then did a post doctoral research at the University of Oxford in Medical Physics. When the pandemic hit, I had to rethink things and found myself wanting to help people instead. So I made a career change and I now work in Radiotherapy Physics at Oxford University Hospital while I have been tutoring in a private school and lecturing at the University of Oxford part time.

I believe tutoring Physics and Computing is very important to shape the future minds and help the students to achieve their goals.

I've worked with so many lovely students and really felt like I've changed their outlook on the subjects. I love seeing their confidence soar and their faces light up when something suddenly clicks. I like to keep my lessons fun and engaging and make you feel like this is not just extra work because it can be fun trust me! No matter your struggles, I'd love to see where I can help.
