The education I received paved a path for me that lead to the person I am today. I would love to have the opportunity to give back and help other students the way my teachers and mentors helped me. I remain in contact with several of my previous instructors and I want to cultivate that kind of a relationship with students. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from BYU-Idaho and continued to complete a Master of Arts in Bilingual/Bicultural Studies at UTSA. To me, education is the tool to empowerment as it provides knowledge to combat some of life's biggest obstacles. My experience is in language development, specifically English and Spanish. However, I also tutor in writing, Social Studies and Literature. My favorite subject to tutor is writing because it is the most challenging and provides the student an outlet to discover their creativity.

I love everything to do with music including playing the piano, singing, and dancing! I also enjoy reading historical fiction, fantasy and a good mystery. I am currently working on completing a list of 100 classic and contemporary books and am close to halfway through!
