When I see students, show growth and succeed academically, it makes my heart smile. As a SPED certified teacher in Texas and a parent who homeschooled her own children, I have worked with many struggling learners. These students don't have learning disabilities. They just learn differently. I have a Masters of Education in Leadership of Educational Organizations and hold my EC-12 Special Education and EC-6 Core Subjects certifications in Texas. I have also taken and passed my 4-8 ELAR. I tutor reading, writing, and math, but my absolute favorite subject to tutor is reading. I enjoy helping students to learn to read and understand what they've read. My teaching philosophy is simple. I believe that all students can be successful academically. I am a tutor who finds what works for her students, and I refuse to give up on them or let them give up on themselves.
