I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I am an educator by way of having obtained an earned Bachelor's Degree, majoring in , and attained Master's of Education degree and having been certified by my state to teach history and computer science-although over the course of my several decades educational career, have taught, provided academic and societal skills and encouraged my students and myself to always "reach for the greater stars". However; no star comparison is allowed as value exists when a student reaches his or her fullest and earned attainments If one falls short of his or her ultimate star reach, he or she have still stretched themselves responsibly to greater achievement than what he or she would have by seeking a lesser star. I testify to this from personal naysayers and "dream snatchers" who saw only a fast food server career in my future stars. They were wrong now and with perseverance and discipline, one's reach and achievements grow.

I count the most educational attainment is teaching young minds to observe, think, memorize and analyze. My career and certain other Teachers career have been and continue to use our academic and other relevant knowledge and skills to be dedicated to making and not and not breaking a student.
I have served in my Church as member and leader of several auxiliaries and held political and fraternal positions in my smaller and greater community. I have been voted "Teacher of the Year" at one of my teaching oasis and received several other Teaching rewards along with Continuing Educational certifications.

Gardening, traveling, music and aerobics exercise have served me well. History, Social Studies, Civics and Computer Sciences, and other familiar academic sojourners subjects I have taught, are my long traveled academic companions. The torch that guides me is one that wants students to express themselves, meet and responsibly, with assisted Teacher guidance, harness his or her strengths and weaknesses for intellectual and other positive development. My torch's light, made brighter by student participation, shall always cast a kind and caring classroom discipline to assist in assuring that each student learns and increases active learning and memorization and conceptual analysis.

Earth, wind and fire singing group, in one of its "Shining Star" songs, sings to us, and I now join the chorus and invite each student to also due so, as in scholarly unison we strive to show, be and know that " be it a giant or a grain of sand, words of wisdom yes I and we can. Let's get this started.
