I hold a Ph.D. in English, Creative Writing and Literature, from the University of Houston. I also hold degrees in Classics from Wesleyan University (B.A. with Honors) and Columbia University (M.A.). I've taught at Texas Christian University, Zayed University in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Southern Utah University and elsewhere. My writing, poems and essays, has been published in the Southwest Review, Poetry, The Paris Review, Salamander, the Bennington Review, the Colorado Review, and in other journals and anthologies.
