I am a Florida State University graduate. I received my BS in Elementary Education, with additional endorsements in ESOL and Reading. I have spent the past eight years serving Title I elementary schools. During each year of teaching I have also provided one on one, as well as small group settings during after school tutoring. I am most passionate about reading and writing. Reading is the foundation of all subjects and without the proper strategies, no other subject can be mastered. As we all know, state assessments can be stressful and overwhelming. I specialize in preparation and confidence for these assessments.
Learning should be fun and exciting and my goal in teaching is to engage the student to the point they aren't even aware of all the learning they are doing!

I am a wife and a mother of three daughters and one son. When I am not shuttling them around town to all their activities, I am on the beach or on a boat fishing and watching for dolphins! I can usually be found reading a book on my Kindle- I love a good mystery! I love the Dallas Cowboys and look forward to cheering for them each NFL season! I also collect elephant figures and love all things African!
