Before considering education, I joined the Navy after High School. Where I saw the world, and realized how diverse it can be, which shaped my worldview. After the service I was in a terrible accident that left me paralyzed and needing new means for income. Hence, I continued my academic endeavors and started college life. I first went to El Paso Community College, (EPCC) and attained an Associates of Arts with a concentration in Psychology. Next, I got my Bachelor's of Science at the University of Texas at El Paso, in Microbiology, with a minor in Chemistry. I have tutored Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology (part I), and Algebra/Math. My favorite is a toss up between Biology and Micro. I have carried a saying from my high school football coach, and have used it all of my academic endeavors, learning and teaching, "Attitude is the key to success!" I try to apply it to my life everyday.
