I am a post graduate of University of Phoenix. I received my Masters of Business Administration with a focus on financial analysis. My undergraduate degree is in electrical engineering from the University of South Carolina. Upon graduating from USC, I joined the navy and spent the next 20 years traveling the world and experiencing the challenges and rewards of serving my country. After retiring in 2007, I decided to go for my masters. I received that in 2010. With my masters I was able to land my first job as a teacher, mentor, and instructor at a local university in West Virginia. Here I taught intro classes in economics, finance, accounting, and management to undergraduate students. I loved this job! I really enjoyed sharing my knowledge, experience, and time with my students. My true desire to teach is in business and management. After 5 years as an adjunct, I decided to take a break and travel the world. And that's exactly what I did for the next 10 years. I have owned properties in Panama, Ecuador, and Thailand. I am the president of my own property management business. My favorite things to do are try new foods, new places, new people, and new ideas. Sharing my experiences while in the navy and while traveling the world is my real passion. I want to do this in the classroom and with my students. Learning can be fun, rewarding, and fruitful. The right mentor, the right tools, the right methods, and the right mindset make it all come together. My undergraduate degree in engineering also allows me to instruct in math, physics, and geometry. Looking forward to meeting you and learning together. Let's go!
