Certified Tutor

I am a certified K-12 teacher. I received my master's in education concentrating on Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Long Island University. Since graduation, I have worked as a K-12 classroom teacher in public and charter schools all over New York City, instructing immigrant adults looking to improve their English and achieve professional goals, and served as a Spanish Interpreter for the Board of Elections. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about History, Literature, and English. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we consistently have the most fun, with remarkable advancements, prepping for the exams' Critical Reading and Writing portions. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it necessary for an improved quality of life for yourself and the community. In my spare time, I enjoy reading memoirs and sci-fi novels, yoga, hiking, and frequent adventures to the beaches on the east coast.
