I am a 2004 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Communications and a 2009 graduate of the University of Phoenix with a Masters in Business Administration. I have completed some doctoral level courses with the University of Phoenix in Education. . I have several years of teaching experience as an Adjunct Instructor with ITT Technical Institute and Virginia College. Instructional courses taught included: Art Appreciation, Business Negotiation, Accounting 1 & 2, Intro to Project Management, Managerial Accounting, Intro to Business, Intro to Quality Management, Management Information Systems, Project Cost & Budget Management. I am presently a full time homeschool mom to 3 children 7 year old twins (boy has autism and is nonverbal and girl has speech delays) and 6 year old daughter. I am familiar with IEPs and I teach math, phonics, reading , writing to my special needs twins. I am interested in tutoring special needs individuals in foundational subjects such as reading, writing and math. My favorite subject to tutor is reading because you can explore, image and gain confidence to be uniquely you know matter your complexities or difficulties. This concept is important for any individual with developmental/learning disabilities. Tutoring these students with disabilities to understand their ability to succeed and grow and I do this everyday with my own children that is my motto. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, reading, relaxing and enjoying the simple things in life.
