I know how frustrating it can be when you just can't grasp a concept, and you know in your heart that with more time and perhaps a different teaching style, you would get it very quickly. But, what actually happens is the teacher keeps going on ahead and you are still stuck on the previous problem. My goal is to find a way to guide students step by step through topics at their pace, and by using their own personal thought process and learning style, so that it becomes intuitive and fun to learn!

I am a scientist working in Biotech, with a bachelor's in Biochemistry from University of Massachusetts Boston. I tutor mainly science and related subjects such as chemistry and biology (and variations of both, such as molecular/ cell biology, and organic/ analytical/ physical chemistry). I also teach Algebra and Thai (as a native speaker).

I do not have professional teaching experience, but I was always nominated to be at the Whiteboard drawing diagrams and graphs to explain topics during study sessions with friends and fellow classmates. I love teaching chemistry in particular because I find it most fascinating in both theory and practice.

Outside of academia, my passion is sports medicine and exercise, particularly powerlifting or general gym training. I am currently working towards my NASM personal training certification. I am also interning at a chiropractic office, and a physical therapy/ personal training office to learn more about careers in athletic performance rehab. I am also a HUGE foodie and love cooking or trying out new restaurants with friends.
