I received my bachelors degree in studio art with an emphasis in painting from Brigham Young University Idaho. From art critiques to classes, I enjoy sharing the process of improving in the visual arts with my students. I have taught art classes in my community for both children and adults. Regardless of the age group, we always have a great time learning about the why behind good art while we create together! Using project based learning, I encourage my students to discover techniques and principles embedded in each art experience that will help them grow as an artist and as a person. I believe that involvement in the arts has many benefits that bleed over into every other part of life including increased ability to positively influence life circumstances and problem solve with creativity and joy.
I love all mediums of visual art, but I am the most happy with a paintbrush in my hand. On my own time, I love painting landscape and rural farm scenes. In addition to teaching, I enjoy making people laugh, playing the piano, and spending time with my family.
