Certified Tutor

I went to Brigham Young University where I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Special Education. I believe it is critical to have teachers who are passionate about teaching, For this reason, I love tutoring teacher candidates in preparing for the Praxis. As a special education teacher, I got to work one on one and in small group settings to help my students achieve success. My favorite subjects to teach and tutor are pre-algebra, algebra and geometry. Math is not many student's favorite subject, but I love breaking concepts into smaller chunks and celebrating small victories with my students to help create a positive and uplifting classroom environment. I am passionate about helping my students feel successful and confident in their skills. When I get some spare time, I love to watch movies with my family, going to the beach and traveling.
