I am a Las Vegas native and a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Education with a focus on English and theater. Since then, I've directed many school and community theater productions. As an English teacher, I've developed a passion for helping students at every level of learning. I invest in teaching students and motivating those who needed help to improve their reading and writing skills to get to their grade level, and I've enjoyed success teaching Advanced Placement English Language (and Literature!). I am most passionate about teaching writing! I love helping students improve their abilities to read, write, think, and communicate in a way that reflects their uniqueness and understanding of the world around them. We have fun and we develop needed skills in the process. In my spare time, you can find me volunteering at local theater, hiking, or exploring nature with my family.

I love hiking and being outdoors. I am a runner, so you can also find me coaching track and cross country teams. If we are indoors, you'll find me expressing creativity as theater set designer or director. I could be at home just sitting in the back of a theater.
