My motivations for becoming a tutor stem from the relationships I built with educators during my time as a student. It is because of the support I received from my teachers, professors, and tutors that I have such a strong passion for academia. I aspire to provide those whom I tutor with a similar sense of enthusiasm for learning.
I am a graduate of Clark University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and I have also taken coursework in various disciplines of mathematics and business. During college, I gained experience tutoring in two primary ways. First, I was the teaching assistant for one of Clark's Linear Algebra courses. As the teaching assistant, I held office hours for the students enrolled in the course, during which they could come to me with any questions related to the lectures, homework, or exams. I also have experience teaching middle school students through the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program in the Worcester Public School system. While participating in the AVID program, I tutored a variety of subjects including Biology, History, English, Algebra, and Geometry. While I have experience in a broad range of subjects, I am particularly passionate about the fields of Mathematics and Economics.
