Certified Tutor

I am a retired university and middle/high school teacher from Michigan. I received my Master of Arts degree from Northern Michigan University and I then attended a teacher training program at Wayne State University to get my State certification to teach English and Spanish. My strength in teaching is writing and linguistics. I strongly believe that being able to communicate excellently via the written word is extremely important in today's digital society. Therefore, as a tutor I strive to help students develop the critical and linguistic skills that will help them to develop and perfect their own voice and style using good, academic English or Spanish. I have successfully implemented reforms to writing programs in the schools I have taught and my students from over 25 years ago still thank me for being the best writing teacher they ever had! That is what brings the joy of satisfaction to my educator's heart.
