I have obtained my Bachelor's degree from The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Early Childhood Education and my Master's degree in Curriculum and instruction with a focus on Reading from UWM as well. The main areas that I have taught in reading are: phonics, phonemic awareness, concepts about print, fluency, and vocabulary.
I have enjoyed working in the field of Early Childhood Education for almost twenty year as a child-care teacher and Montessori teacher. I have also enjoyed working with students who have Special needs and in a Trauma-Informed program. I'm very patient and have experience using various strategies to teach and make accommodations for a variety of learning styles.
Each student has unique abilities and skills that I will respectfully make accommodations for; to meet their learning needs. I enjoy creating individualized lesson plans, with specific objectives, that help students develop their academic and reading skills. Each student will have an opportunity to, utilize their areas of strength and interest, as a platform for success in reading!

I enjoy reading so much that I recently started a book club! I also enjoy taking walks and being outdoors to explore and absorb nature! Visual art design like architecture is also interesting to me.
