Before becoming a public school teacher in the sunshine state, I was an adjunct teaching integrated ESL and workforce English. I have 15 years of tutoring experience, assisting Chinese students with academic English and test strategies, helping American students learning mandarin, preparing middle school students for American high school admission interviews, solving problems in math, and making personalized study plans for ISEE, PSAT and SAT, but after all, building learners' confidence and giving support to parents. I also worked as executive personal assistant facilitating Chinese high school students newly arrived in the United States, local host families and overseas parents.
My teaching philosophy is: there are no poor children but only unskilled teachers.
