I have been teaching students of all ages for more than 40 years. I am a graduate of The University of Alabama and Alabama State University. I also finished graduate level courses at Alabama A & M University and Gallaudet University. I have a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees in education. I am most passionate about teaching students with special needs. I love helping my students learn and become more confident. My favorite subjects to teach are reading, literature, math, prealgebra, and algebra. I love the way that reading and literature opens new worlds to students. Also, I love the way math can be like solving a puzzle. My education philosophy is that all students can learn and learning is a lifelong process.
