I am a proud graduate of the US Air Force Academy where I obtained my BS degree in General Engineering and Military History. My MS in Nano-Engineering was obtained from NC A&T State University in 2017. I am proud to say that I am a second generation Aggie!

At USAFA I trained new cadets as well as training members of the elite USAFA Cadet Honor Guard. As a missile launch officer in the Air Force I also trained newer officers.In all instances I really enjoyed experiencing those AHA moments; when the concept being taught was understood.

I did teach mathematics at the high school and middle school levels, but I must admit my greatest joys came from watching 2 of my children graduate in the top 10 of their class.

I have always felt that when the student is willing to learn, I could assist them to learn and maybe even go beyond what they believe they can do. In my experiences, the answer is not the objective, it's the process and the journey towards the solution that is the key.

I love teaching math and the sciences because these foundations of life remain constant and ready to be discovered by the next willing generation. I obtained my MS at the age of 56 because I truly love to learn and never tire of discovering something new. I really want to assist others along that same path.
