Certified Tutor

I have taught elementary students for over 30 years and most of that time has been in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. I have done reading intervention work with 3rd-6th graders. I am currently a full-time 5th grade teacher, teaching math, science, language arts (writing and grammar), and reading. I do large group and small group instruction in all of those academic areas. I encourage all of my students to do the best they can and to learn something new each and every day.
I tutor elementary students in all academic areas. I really enjoy working with math, reading, writing, and science as those are some of my favorite subjects to learn about. I have worked hard during my career to make these engaging subjects for the students I have taught. I have learned that all students can learn, it is important to discover what works for them.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I have a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane University-Crete, Nebraska. I am level 1 Google Certified. I have an additional 21 hours of education past my Master's Degree as well.
I find joy in traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends. cheering my children on at sporting events, cooking and baking, gardening, and time with my new grandbaby.
Due to the fact that I live in a rural area in Nebraska, my preference is to do online tutoring only. I am punctual and easy to work with. I hope to work with you soon!
