Eriko: London tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a native Japanese speaker, and grew up in Tokyo, Japan. I came to the US for marriage in 2013.
I graduated from Sophia University in Tokyo in 2011, and I received my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a focus on International Business & Economics. My working experience is very unique and extensive as I have worked for several different companies both in Japan and the US, in accounting, finance and legal areas. I also have experiences in growing my own business online.
When I was working as a translator for a law firm in NY for Japanese corporate clients' e-discovery processes in litigation, I noticed many people are interested in learning Japanese. At the same time, I found myself enjoying interacting with people through different forms of communications.
Although I am not much experienced in teaching or tutoring, I am passionate about knowing people, helping people, listening to people and interacting with people. I believe that my unique experiences and skills are beneficial in helping people learn Japanese and Japanese culture. I am very open and flexible with your suggestions and would like to tailer my lessons based on your needs and interests. If you are into Japanese anime, I will base my lessons on your favorite anime. If you have a Japanese business partner or Japanese corporate clients that you are having a difficult time communicating with, I would help with your documents/emails and their unspoken needs and indications. Everything will be kept confidential. If you are planning to visit Japan, I will prepare lessons for your survival in Japan for basic needs. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any questions, and we can go from there.
