John: Waterloo tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics and a rising freshmen at Harvard University from Wilmington, NC. In the past I've worked at the Children's Museum of Wilmington as well as tutored children ages 7-14 in subjects ranging from grammar to chemistry, but my favorite thing to teach is math! So many students think that they hate math, but with the right teacher, math can not only be easy, but it can be fun--and I always try my best to make learning as fun as possible. I've also worked with students with ADHD and I understand the importance of engaging learning strategies and taking breaks. In my free time, I enjoy running, swimming, photography, and reading--especially if it's about space!

I love anything and everything space-related, so it's no surprise that my personal favorite subject is science! However, I also enjoy reading and writing articles about current events. I also try to stay active by running, swimming, and hiking when it's not too hot. I plan to spend much of my gap year camping and visiting national parks across the US. My favorite national parks so far have been White Sands in New Mexico and Arches in Utah!
