I have my Bachelor of Arts in Drama with a focus on Theatrical Literature from Ithaca College and my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The New School. In addition to these studies, I worked as a book editor at Simon & Schuster and as a managing editor at Penguin Group, USA. During this time, I was also employed as a freelance copy editor at Random House, Amazon, and many other companies of the same ilk. After moving into academia, I developed the curriculum and taught Writing for Non-writing Majors at Philadelphia University. Since relocating to the West Coast, I've focused on copyediting and my own writing.

The combination of all these things has given me an in-depth understanding of both English literature and the English language, and because of my varied and comprehensive path to teaching, I excel at imparting this knowledge to all my students.
