Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Master's of Science in Education with concentrations in elementary and special education. As recently as last year, I worked in a charter school in Philadelphia as an elementary and middle school special education teacher with a caseload of student with varying learning disabilities ranging from ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional disturbances. I love teaching students around their interests and passions. Through my experience I've learned that adding student interests to lessons not only peaks interest, but also allows for the students to soak in the materials better. While I have experience teaching history, science, writing, English language-arts (ELA), and Math, I am most passionate about teaching ELA, writing and math. My belief is that every student deserves an equal and attentive learning experience, and I hope to have a bit of fun in the process. In my spare time, I enjoy following sports, playing Ultimate Frisbee, going on hikes, and training my new puppy!
