Certified Tutor

I am a fluent Spanish speaker with over 12 years of experience speaking and teaching the language. I learned Spanish through immersion in Guatemala, and believe that language is best learned with a combination of academic work, conversation, and fun.

My teaching experience ranges from group classes to one-on-one instruction, and I work with all age ranges. I have over 10 years of experience in childcare, and work well with young children, teens, and adults.

You can expect my sessions to include instruction, practice, conversation, and fun. I like to try to engage my students in topics they already enjoy while teaching them Spanish along the way. If you (or your child) have specific goals or resources you would like me to review or utilize, I am happy to do so.

If you want to learn Spanish by attempting to memorize written phrases over and over again - I suggest another tutor. If you are ready to dive into the messy waters of learning by doing, speaking when you don't feel ready, and discovering the rich meaning behind the language you learn - I'd love to chat!
