Hi! I'm Malyn. I've been tutoring for about 8 years now, and I really enjoy helping students gain confidence and skill in their academics. I specialize in helping students with math, especially those who may struggle with self-confidence, but I can do other subjects as well. I particularly like working with middle- and high-school-age students, and my approach is to see what my student needs and how they learn best, then choose strategies based on that. I prefer to lead students into finding the correct answers for themselves, and developing techniques that work for them to get those answers in the future, rather than just giving them the answers.

In my free time, I like to write fantasy novels, go for walks and hikes, ride my bike, or play computer games with my husband. I also like to read and snuggle with our two cats. :)
