I am a graduate of Texas A&M University where I received both a BBA in Accounting and an MS Accounting with an emphasis in Tax Technology. In pursuit of these degrees and in studying for the CPA exam, I have gained lots of experience working in various types of accounting, both US GAAP and accounting for smaller businesses that use applications like QuickBooks with the cash method.

As part of my BBA, I earned a minor in Spanish. I have studied the language for about 7 years, and I have used it in my academic, personal, and professional lives.

Additionally, as part of my MS degree, I focused on things like database analysis and design and business modeling. Due to this, I have experience working with relational databases, SQL, VBA, Alteryx, Tableau and other softwares.

I am a firm believer that no subject is too difficult for someone to learn if they are willing to put in the time to study and they have a teacher who is dedicated to seeing them succeed. When I work with students, I try to embody this idea by keep students motivated, and encouraging them to continue through errors and failures. I like to remind students that although it may seem like subjects are easy for me or for others, we too were once beginners in the area, and we all had our fair share of mistakes and missteps.
