Certified Tutor

I graduated last spring from New York University with a major in English literature and a minor in history. My first experience with teaching came when, as a senior in high school, I was selected through a highly competitive application process to be a teaching assistant for a 10th grade human development class. Throughout my time in college I have had extensive experience working with students in grades 3rd through 8th on their homework, both the material itself and organization of their work. Additionally I have over six years of experience teaching children and adults tennis, through which I developed a strong ability to communicate with students.

As a student myself, I greatly enjoyed my coursework and I want to help other students feel the same. I have strong skills in reading, writing, academic research and study skills. I believe that each student is unique and deserves to have a specialized tutoring experience. I am a good listener and I am confident in my ability to adapt my teaching strategy to meet the individual needs of a student.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking and playing tennis.

I am not only qualified academically, but also enthusiastic, flexible, and focused on the success of my students!
