- Bachelor of Business Administration - Major in Accounting from the University of Houston - Downtown; awarded Cum Laude honors.
- Over 11 years of professional experience in various positions: Financial Analyst; Staff Accountant; Controller.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Since I was a child, I have had an intense love of learning. I hope to transmit that love to you and inspire you to be the best student you can be! I think of accounting as a logical and balanced system, the parts of which are always increasing or decreasing, yet always remain in perfect equilibrium. Many students have the impression that math skills are the key to success in accounting, but I see it differently. Although math skills are certainly important, even more important is gaining a solid understanding of the conceptual framework behind accounting. My goal is to show you how this framework reflects the real economy in which we participate every day. Understanding the framework comes hand in hand with understanding what the numbers represent and how they fit together.

Besides accounting, my interests include nature walks, reading Victorian and historical novels, designing graphic themes for PCs, and listening to jazz and classical music.
