Certified Tutor

I have taught and tutored at the elementary school, middle school and collegiate levels.

I was a public school teacher for four years in Arlington, VA where I taught grades 1-5. We covered the basics, from spelling and reading, to comprehension, presentation skills and state-wide test preparation.

After being an elementary school teacher, I moved to middle school in Arlington, VA where I spent one year with 6-8 graders in special ed. We covered U.S./World History, Astronomy, Geography, Chemistry, and Advanced Reading & Writing Comprehension.

I left teaching to pursue my MBA at American University, where I became a Marketing GA, helped run the behavioral lab and taught a few Marketing 101 classes to freshman.

Outside of teaching and tutoring, I love going to new exhibits at the National Gallery of Art, Nationals games, Georgetown basketball games and spending time with my friends and family.

I was born and raised in Washington, DC and have been fortunate enough to travel to many countries around the world.

I teach the way I like to be taught; by doing the work and searching for alternative perspectives to increase my understanding.
