Lekha: Justice tutor
Certified Tutor
I was born and brought up in Westchester County, New York. I went to Cornell for undergrad, where I majored in Cell and Molecular Biology, with a minor in Business. I recently applied to medical school, and I hope to become a pediatric physician. I am currently a masters student in Human Nutrition at Columbia University.
I am passionate about human health, science and learning, and I really enjoy working with people. I have been involved in volunteer work and tutoring since I was in high school, and I realized I really enjoy working with students and teaching. So I continued to tutor students when I was in college, both in the local community and other classmates. Post-college graduation I worked as a medical scribe for two years. Still wanting to tutor/teach, I volunteered with Let's Get Ready for free SAT prep/college planning support to local high school students.
I believe that a tutor should help students feel more confident in their own abilities. I try to create a very comfortable and trusting environment so students feel at safe to ask questions and seek guidance.
That's all about me. Thank you!
