I have been working in education for fifteen years. I received my doctorate about seven years ago. I currently work as an instructional coach in a K-5 elementary school working with new teachers. I also do many other tasks such as work with students with testing and reading, I am the Title I compliance specialist, and I give staff development on many different professional development subjects. But most of all, I do assignments my principal asks me to do. So, you could say that I do a variety of educational tasks in my job that gives me a wide range of diversity in many subject areas which allows me to work with adults and children! However, while I love teaching the new teachers what they will encounter in their first years of teaching, my love of the day is when I get to be with my 3rd graders in the extra hour in the afternoon. We do a variety of reading and writing activities that we just enjoy. I have worked with ALL grade levels: elementary, middle, and high school, and now adults! So, I hope I can reach people of all ages! I just enjoy teaching!
