I graduated from the University of Florida (UF) with a master's degree in TESOL/ bilingual education. I possess a SLAT (Second Language Acquisition and Teaching) certificate. I am a current member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society. I completed both education and linguistic courses during my study at UF. Our curriculum included how to best satisfy the needs of different individuals in language learning and in the studying of other subjects such as social study, science and math.
I studied Korean language and literature for my bachelor's degree. Our major covered business Korean, interpreter training, and education theories.
I have studied and worked in China, Indonesia, South Korea, and here in America. I possess English and Mandarin Chinese teaching experiences and worked with both young learners and adult learners. I have been teaching students from different countries and cultural backgrounds. I also took and taught TOEFL and GRE (analytical writing and math) test before, so I am more than happy to share my experiences and problem-solving skills with my students.
I value the power of education and enjoy teaching. It is always rewarding to see the improvements made by my students. At the same time, I can always find something to learn from my students and my colleagues.
The subjects I teach are Mandarin Chinese, ESL/EFL English, English, TOEFL test, GRE test, and Korean.
