Certified Tutor

I have been teaching high school chemistry, physics, and other science classes for the past 15 years. High school science teaching is the only professional career I've ever had. I prefer to use a hands-on, minds-on, inquiry driven, student centered approach in my teaching and tutoring. I work hard to get to know my students, so that I am able to relate subject matter and customize teaching methods for them.

During my career I have continuously stayed current on trends in science education and education in general. Professional development and personal learning has always been of the utmost importance to me. I have also been honored by my students and teaching peers with various awards and honors.

The best way to ever learn any subject matter is to teach it to others. I've been doing this in traditional high school science classes for 15 years. My teaching assignments have included everything from general physical science to Honors chemistry and physics. I'm also very familiar with ACT Science; the reading, data interpretation, and analysis that is required to succeed.

I look forward to working with you no matter what your science tutoring needs are. I have an outstanding understanding of not only the subject content but how to relate the information to you! I also have experience with project based learning if you are in need of some help with those projects.
