Hi! My name is Juliana, and I am a high school teacher in Chicago Public Schools. I have been teaching freshmen in high school for four years now, and I also have experience with sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

I graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington with my Bachelor's in English, and I graduated from DePaul University with a Master's in Secondary Education. I am licensed to teach grades 6-12, and I am currently working on an endorsement to become a Reading Specialist at Northeastern Illinois University.

A typical beginning session with me will begin with getting to know the student, and assessing their general strengths and needs in the content area. After assessing these needs, the following tutoring sessions will be customized lessons based on the specific needs of the student. I focus primarily on reading, writing, and grammar instruction; additionally, I have experience with prepping students for the SAT Reading, Writing and Language, and essay portions.

Outside of teaching, I love to read, write, cook, listen to music, and play video games when I'm not busy grading papers :)
