I am a graduate of Winthrop University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Literature and Language and a minor in Social Sciences. I also received my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Winthrop University with a certification in Secondary English Education. My background from high school through college includes working with preschool and elementary age children. I have worked to tutor students at a variety of levels and specialize in helping support students with reading comprehension and writing skills. I have 5+ years of experience in the classroom. Since obtaining my degree, I have worked with high school students to improve their literacy skills. I am a life long learner that enjoys incorporating a variety of topics into my content as I believe that connections help us learn and grow. I also enjoy challenging my students to think critically about the world and discover new information. Watching students grow and develop as readers and thinkers brings me true joy.
