Hello, my name is Brian Loane, and I am a recent graduate from Penn State University, Schreyer Honors College. I will be attending Boston College this fall to pursue a Master's program in English. While at Penn State, I double-majored in English and Comparative Literature while minoring in Philosophy. I have experience tutoring students in various subjects related to English. Whether a student needs help crafting and editing an essay for a summer assignment or for a college application, or if a student wants to practice and improve their reading comprehension, I can be of assistance. I spent much of the last four years working with Penn State students to craft essays and better understand works of literature. For instance, I helped a fellow student compose a stronger and more cohesive argument in an essay regarding Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart. I also led discussions and deliberations in a book club which helped students understand books such as Moby-Dick and the Odyssey. I am now looking forward to assisting new students.
