Hi, my name is Karissa Lepley. I am a sophomore at Arizona State University's Barrett Honors College majoring in Global Studies with a concentration in politics. For the past four years, I have tutored students ranging from 5th to 7th grade in a variety of subjects such as English, Math, Violin, and Viola. I consider English, Writing, and Music to be my strong suits; however, I enjoy both learning and teaching history and math as well. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, reading, writing, music, and getting to know new people. In both my studies and my hobbies, I strive to exercise my creative and analytical thinking. Understanding the value of both these elements combined with my extensive tutoring experience means that I not only know how to teach the material, but also that I know how to communicate with students and make learning enjoyable. Although learning can be difficult and stressful, I want my students to walk away with more knowledge in the subject and more confidence in their abilities.
